This is a snippet from the “Last Night a Cowbell Saved My Life” Mixtape coming this summer. The cowbell Mixtape is a product of years of Midwest digging, terrible ideas, an hilarious weekends. Put together over the span of 6 days, the mix features nothing but songs and breaks containing cowbells. Enjoy.
I said before that we would be doubling up the Dust Collectors releases this month because of the April hiatus. While it is later in the month than I had hoped I will still be putting up two new pieces of work. One will be a 10 minute snippet of the upcoming mix tape “Last Night a Cowbell Saved My Life” by myself and Bashir. The mixtape features nothing but songs containing cowbells, and a lot of other fun snippets. The second release will be a series of short tracks I produced featuring some obscure and some well known drums and samples. It’s as feel good and dance as I get, so hopefully it is enjoyed. So keep an eye out over the next couple of days for these.
And don’t forget that Friday at the Vaudeville Mews, Maxilla Blue will be celebrating the release of their second full length record. We have some neat things planned, so we hope to see you there celebrating with us.
We’ve been practicing and traveling getting ready for what will be a great show at the Vaudeville Mews on May 21st. For more info click on the MBV2 flyer on the right of the screen. Vinyl is being pressed, CD’s are being printed, and we are working on booking to hit the road hard this summer. All sites will be updated with shows as they are booked, so keep checking back, and if you want to see maxilla in your area, send an email to info@central-standard.com and we will work to make it that direction.

March’s Dust Collectors edition is “mil novecentos e noventa” from producer Purify. The featured producer from the “Truth of All Evil” cassette release, his work has consistently progressed and this EP is another significant step forward.
